Earlier this month I posted my Art and Craft Party Plan. In that plan one recommendation I had was to have name or place settings for guests. A nice way to help party guests know where their craft station is, is to use a name place setting. If your craft table is loaded up with fun things to do though a small card can get lost amongst it all so creating a cute mini easel to hold them is easy, fun and effective. They only take 5-10min to complete, depending on glue drying time.
With each mini easel you can have fun and make them as wild and wacky or as dainty and pretty as you please, make each one the same or make each one unique to the guest. Once assembled the mini easel can be decorated with glitter or paint as well.
You will need
4 paddle pop sticks
Hot glue gun and glue sticks
Step 1: Lay 2 of the sticks down so that they form an upside down V. Using the glue gun, glue the sticks together at the top.
Step 2: Lay a 3rd stick across the V a third of the way up the sticks. With the glue gun secure it in place. It should now look like an A.
Step 3: On the back of your A frame add a decent sized dollop of glue and insert your last sick into it at an angle. Allow the glue to start hardening before removing your hands. This will be the stick that holds your mini easel upright.
Step 4: For extra strength add more glue underneath the sick and let harden before standing up.
Step 5: Create your name tags and glue or blue tac in place
I recommend hot gluing the mini easel together as its fast and strong but you could use and craft or wood glue you already have on hand.
If you wanted to use the mini easels over and over, a cute idea is to glue a mini peg on the front to hold any signs you place there and swap them out with ease.
You could try using pencils to give the mini easel a more art and craft look. Working with the same size pencil is easier for this. They can also be bigger so consider where you are locating them first. The shape of the pointy end of the pencil means that they actually glue together really well as they are already angled and fit together with little fuss.
Use the mini easels to hold food labels, name tags or make bigger ones to hold station signs for each craft. You can find food labels available in my Etsy store.
